How to report maintenance issues in LSE halls
Desk lamp not working? Tap dripping? Wi-Fi down? If anything is broken, let us know and we'll get it fixed.
Our maintenance and housekeeping staff help us to keep the facilities well maintained. Help us by reporting any maintenance defects in your room as well as in the shared areas. If you notice any maintenance issues, please tell reception or use the online maintenance form.
Use the online report form to tell us what's not working:
- Bankside House, Butler's Wharf, Carr-Saunders Hall, High Holborn, Passfield Hall, Rosebery Hall: online report form
- Lilian Knowles House and Sidney Webb House: IT network faults reporting only, liaise with reception directly.
- Urbanest Westminster Bridge, Urbanest King's Cross: https://uk.urbanest.com/contacting-urbanest/
In emergencies, like flooding or power cuts, please contact reception directly.
Usually, you won't need to be in your room for our maintenance team to check and repair the fault. Only authorised staff will access your room.
Do you work over the weekend?
No, usually not. Our maintenance teams work Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and the residences IT advisor is visiting your hall twice a week during the week.
How quickly will you deal with the fault?
We try to deal with small repairs before the end of the next working day. Emergency items will be prioritised. If we have to call an external contractor, repairs may take a little longer, but we will do what we can to speed things up and give you an idea of when work will be done.
Refurbishment works
To keep the halls looking good and functioning well we have to do regular maintenance work. We'll try to keep the disruption to a minimum, and we'll give you advance notice of any particularly noisy periods if we can.
We'll keep you informed about refurbishment works by email, and we'll post updates online (see quick links).
