Living in London
Explore London: Shoreditch
Shoreditch is one of the most creative areas in East London, so it's definitely worth exploring!
Whether you're looking to explore some of the best street art or want to discover a new favourite hangout spot, there's so much to see and do in Shoreditch.
Take yourself on a street art tour
The streets of Shoreditch are paved in incredible art that shouldn't be missed. Exploring the artwork around the East End is a great way to spend your breaks and get to know the area. It's basically like a free art gallery - keep an eye out for original Banksy pieces too!
Visit the Flower Market
One of the best ways to brighten up your accommodation is with plants and you won't struggle to find them here. Head to Columbia Road on a Sunday to browse all of the pretty shops and get involved with the community.
Explore the shopping scene
Whether you're looking for popular brands or independent makers, the Shoreditch shopping scene has it all. Full of your favourite shops, vintage comforts and hidden gems, the area is known for its unique shopping experiences.
Why not explore the throwback boutiques for vintage goods at Brick Lane Vintage Market? Or try out the world's first pop-up shopping mall, BOXPARK, which is made of shipping containers!
Sample the street food
If you're trying to find food that reminds you of home or you want to try something new, you shouldn't struggle to find some mouth-watering street food. There's so many markets you can wander round to find something to suit your cravings.
LaLaLand, a streetfood market in the centre of Shoreditch, even has four bars, 15 vendors and a roof terrace. This is a perfect spot to meet up with friends, tuck into delicious dishes and experience live entertainment.
Unwind in the local pubs
On your street art tour of the area, take a break in one of Shoreditch's many pubs. Sample some beers brewed in London at Howl at the Moon, catch live entertainment at The Old Blue Last or enjoy a traditional pub atmosphere at The Golden Heart.
Check out East London's coolest cinemas
Looking for a chill night out? Although Shoreditch has plenty of wild and wonderful entertainment venues, it's also home to some amazing cinematic experiences. Rich Mix are a charity that champions diversity and creativity and here you can find some incredible performances. Covering theatre, cinema, music, art and so much more, there is something for everyone at this venue.
If you're after a more luxurious film screening, The Courthouse Hotel offers a cocktail and cinema experience where you can watch the best cult classics in one of the biggest private cinemas in London!
