London is filled with museums, tourists attractions and Instagram opportunities.

It's also infamous for being one of the most expensive places in the UK. So, instead of spending all of your budget on tickets and pricey tourist attractions, check out the abundance of FREE things to do in the city.

Are you ready for an adventure? Let's go walk, see the sights and enjoy the UK's capital!

1. National History Museum

See the infamous blue whale skeleton or the large collection of natural wonders.

2. Greenwich Park

If it's a sunny day, head to Greenwich Park to see the London skyline and catch some rays - hopefully!

3. The National Gallery

Ever wanted to see the legendary work of Leonardo da Vinci or Van Gogh? Check out the Gallery for a day of fine art.

4. Buckingham Palace

Catch the Changing the Guard ceremony outside Buckingham Palace every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 10.30am. You can take some pics next to the palace while you are there too.

5. Platform 9 3/4s

Head to Kings Cross station to see the famous Harry Potter landmark. Grab a pick running into the wall holding the trolley, just like Harry and Ron.

6. Borough Market

If you're a foodie, then this is the market for you. It's based under the Victorian railway arches and has cuisine from all over the world. Keep an eye out for free samples as well.

7. Hyde Park

Fancy a run? Go visit hyde park for a break from the London buildings and a breath of fresh air. You can also have a ride on the boats and see the Queen's swans.

8. Trafalgar Square

Visit the squad of lions in Central London. You will find people sitting, climbing and taking selfies on them - even though you're not supposed to!

9. Piccadilly Circus

London's equivalent to Times Square. Watch the bright lights of Piccadilly and experience the busiest streets of Central London.

10. Sky Garden

If you love sunsets and skyline views, check out the Sky Garden in the 'Walkie-Talkie Tower'. You need to book your entry (although it's free), and then you can relax in the indoor viewing decks and restaurants.

11. South Bank

Take a stroll along the river and see the stunning London views.

12. Houses of Parliament

Westminister is one of the most iconic London spots. Go see the London Eye, Big Ben, the House of Parliament and maybe, even catch a glimpse of 10 Downing Street.

13. Shoreditch Street Art

If you walk around Shoreditch, you will undoubtedly see some inspirational and arty graffiti. (Not like the random squiggles on bridges.)

14. Little Venice

Take a break from the hustle of the city with a stroll along the canals. Just like Venice, there are house boats all along the canal and waterfront restaurants/bars.
