Room Bookings in the Residences

There are a number of rooms and spaces available across The University of Sheffield residences which are available for registered societies and clubs of Sheffield Students’ Union to use.  

What rooms can I book for student events through Residence Life?

The Edge, Endcliffe

• High Tor 1 - Available Monday to Friday (6.30pm-Midnight) Saturday and Sunday (8am-Midnight) 200 capacity. Ideal for dance/fitness activities. 

• High Tor 2 - Available Monday to Friday (6.30pm-Midnight) Saturday and Sunday (8am-Midnight) 100 capacity. Ideal for dance/fitness activities. Wooden floor, fixed AV, presentation screen and sound system. 

• High Tor 3 - Available Monday to Friday (6.30pm-Midnight) Saturday and Sunday (8am-Midnight) 50 capacity. Ideal for small-scale dance/fitness activities, lectures, seminars and meetings. Wooden floor, fixed AV, presentation screen and sound system. 

• High Tor 4 - Available Monday to Friday (6.30pm-Midnight) Saturday and Sunday (8am-Midnight) 50 capacity. Ideal for small-scale dance/fitness activities, lectures, seminars and meetings. Wooden floor, fixed AV, presentation screen and sound system.

• High Tor 5 - Available Monday to Friday (6.30pm-Midnight) Saturday and Sunday (8am-Midnight) 100 capacity. Ideal for dance/fitness activities,lectures, seminars and meetings. 



Crewe, Endcliffe 

• Endcliffe Studio - Available Monday to Sunday (9am-11pm) 50 capacity (seating unavailable). Suitable for dance/fitness activities. Wooden floor and carpeted area. 



How do I book a room?

If you are a registered student society or club and would like to book a room, you will fill out a Google Form. The form is available here.  (https://forms.gle/EeKShtkarwydKCix5) 

Once we have received the completed form, we will try our best to accommodate your request and will be in touch once your booking has been confirmed. 

We will be accepting room booking requests for the 24/25 academic year, semester 1, from the 1st of July 2024.
We will be unable to accept any booking requests for semester 2 until December 2024. Booking requests for semester 2 submitted before December will not be processed.

Please make sure that you have read and understood our room booking policy which is at the bottom of the page.

If your booking does not adhere to this policy, we will be unable to book a room for you.
