Looking after your Sexual Health
When we start University, it is often a time of self-discovery, finding out who we are, what we like, and what makes us happy; part of this self-discovery can often include having sexual relationships.
It can be a time for experimentation and exploring our sexuality. This is all a healthy part of being an adult and is a positive aspect of who we are, but it can come with risks. It is important that you understand how to keep yourself and others safe.
You can find out more information about the sexual health services available at the University Health Service (UHS) and how to book an appointment via https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/health-service/conditions/sexual-health.
You can also get up-to-date advice, support, and screening from Sexual Health Sheffield - see https://www.sexualhealthsheffield.nhs.uk/ for more information.
Remember, if you have any concerns, you can always arrange to speak to your Residence Life Mentor or attend the Residence Life Mentor Drop-in.
You can also arrange to speak to a Student Support and Wellbeing Officer at Residence Life via email at residentsupport@sheffield.ac.uk.
