Laundry isn't one of the most exciting things you'll do whilst at uni but unfortunately, when living away from home, it's something we all have to do!

Don't panic though! We're here to talk you through it...

Where can I do my laundry?

How do I do my laundry?

We work in partnership with Circuit Laundry to provide laundry facilities and they couldn't be easier to use.

We encourage residents who are doing their washing at Aspire Point or at any of the Mile End laundries to download the Circuit Laundry App to use the machines.

This is what you need to do:

  1. Download the app called Circuit Laundry on your smartphone app store.
  2. Using the app, register an account using your e-mail and creating a password.
  3. The app will then prompt you to scan a QR code, which can be found on any washing machine or dryer in the laundry room that you plan to use.
  4. Your account is now registered and credit can be added to your account via PayPal.
  5. Once you have topped up your account, you are able to use the washers and dryers.
  6. Scan the QR code on the machine you want to use.
  7. Please use your own biological powder, non-biological powder or liquid. Please do not pour liquid directly onto your clothes as this can damage fabrics - your washing powder should be poured directly into the drum underneath your washing.
  8. Press start ensuring the machine washing machine door is securely shut.
  9. The same procedure is used to operate the dryers.

If you prefer, those staying at Aspire Point and Mile End can use a laundry card. These laundry cards are available for purchase from the first-floor laundry at Aspire Point and the France House laundry on the Mile End campus. Once purchased, the cards can be topped up online at www.circuit.co.uk.
