Summer Photograph Competition Winners

Over the month of July, we invited you all to share a photograph of how you were all spending the last few weeks of summer, and we were so impressed by the entries we received!

Thank you to everyone who participated in our very first photography competition!

Without further ado, it’s our pleasure to announce the winners and runners-up:

Winner

Tanmay Dhiman

This photograph was taken in Mussoorie, a small hill station in the North of India, a place with a rich British history.

In the photograph, the motorcycle pictured is a Triumph 5T Speed Twin 500c from 1954 owned by an Anglo-Indian family associated with a bureaucrat appointment under the British Crown. The workshop in the picture has been in place since 1910 situated in Old Town (Landour), Mussoorie.

A few words from Sartaj: “I am an avid motorcycle-geek and enjoy travelling. This picture is a core memory of that trip. What makes it more interesting is that this motorcycle is still working. What makes it even more special is that during the time I was visiting this town after 12 long years, since I used to attend a primary boarding school there.

I'm so glad to have had the opportunity to share this story with you”.
