Richmond Park
Although this is on the other side of London it's still one of the nicest green spaces across the city, and not to mention the amazing wildlife there. With over 1,000 hectares of woodlands and open space, Richmond Park is home to around 630 deer - something you definitely don't expect to see in London.
Holland Park
Holland Park used to be a private garden of a 17th-century home, the Japanese-style gardens are so tranquil and it will be easy to get lost in the amazing scenery. Filled with lanterns, waterfalls, and ponds filled with carp this is one of the most peaceful settings in London. It's definitely a place to come if you need some calm amongst the storm.
Walthamstow Wetlands
The wetlands are part of London's reservoirs that have been transformed into Europe's largest urban wetland reserve. Wander around and see if you can spot some of the rare birds that come to visit the reservoir. If you want to get a better view, head up to the Grade II-listed Coppermill Tower to the viewing platform.
Lee Valley Park
Not far from the Walthamstow Wetlands is the Lee Valley Trail. There is an abundance of wildlife here, from an assortment of birds to horses and cattle, you'll see it all. Walk, run or cycle through the trail that runs parallel to the River Lea, this is a great place to get some fresh air and escape.
Crossrail Place Roof Gardens
Even when it's raining you can enjoy green spaces in London. This rooftop garden has an array of exotic plants you can get explore through the hidden pathways. Enjoy this secret garden from sunrise to sunset, and after, tuck into some street food from the food hall adjacent to the gardens.
