How to find food with no gluten containing ingredients on campus
If you don't eat gluten, there are many options for you across the food outlets on campus.
There are lots of food options with no gluten-containing ingredients (NGCI). Look out for these NGCI menus available in each food outlet.
Another way to find NGCI options is by looking for the yellow NGCI label below in the servery areas of each food outlet. If you see the yellow sticker or NGCI on the dish label, then you know that’s an option for you.
If you are unsure about anything, ask a member of staff who can talk to you about NCGI. Our staff have received comprehensive training for NCGI, so they will always be happy to guide you!
For example, the buddha bowl in Pavilion Cafe (pictured below) can be made into an NCGI version if you ask.
There is also a good
selection of pre-packaged
sandwiches, wraps and salads available in the campus eateries. Alternatively, pop down to Fresh or The Market
to access the ‘Free From’ sections if you’d like to cook for yourself.
Is there any 'Free From' option that you really wish was available in our campus shops? Let us know so we can look at stocking it.
