All about... lime tree
The lime tree is the biggest and usually the busiest eatery on campus - for good reason! Let me take you through all that lime tree has to offer...
It's located right next to Solsbury Court and Quads B. In my first year, lime tree was literally 4 metres away from my room and that was probably my excuse to avoid cooking on some nights :P
It's the closest eatery for most people living in the East side of campus whereas Fresh and 4West Cafe is closer for those on the West side of campus.
Pizza counter🍕
The pizza and pasta counter is unique to lime tree, with a variety of daily changing pizza and pasta options.
There's an digital ordering screen right next to the counter where you can select your meal, pay and wait for your ticket to be called out (the number at the top of your bill).
There are sometimes discounts on pizza across the year, so do look out for those!
Hot food counter🔥
lime tree also has a hot food counter for both lunch and dinner during term time. The meals change everyday to cover a wide range of cuisines.
I love getting the makhani chicken that they serve sometimes on Thursdays, the large portions are well-worth the money!
The counter usually offers a few main options, and sides for you to mix and match with.
Coffee and hot drinks ☕
Additionally, there's a ton of coffee options available.
If you get your own reusable cup, hot drinks come at a 20p discount. You can also get the exchange cup for £3 which is a reusable cup that you can use across campus.
The Exchange cup allows you to exchange your dirty cup for a clean one along with the 20p discount. There's also a coupon you can collect in exchange for your cup so you can use it next time.
Pastries and savoury items along with packaged snacks are also available at the coffee counter.
Not so hot drinks🍺
lime tree also has a convenient little bar to come to at the end of a long day.
Salad counter
The salad counter offers a mix of various toppings, greens, and beans for you to customize your very own creation.
lime tree has a lovely feel to the place. It's always busy and smells of fresh pizza and coffee.
Casual group work is always going on here especially in the booths where there's a bit of privacy.
Sunday roast dinners are a specialty at lime tree for when you want good food reminding you of home!
Football games are often screened here as well.
Even if you don't wish to spend money on food and drinks, there's always a microwave for you to heat your food from home.
Location: Number 6 on the hospitality outlets map
