Connaught Hall: Meet your warden and their team

By bzbeth 11 Sep 2023

Welcome to Connaught Hall

We hope that you settle in and have the best experience whilst studying and living here.

To make sure we are all on the same page, please have a look at our Accommodation Handbook; you will find it in the Useful Documents section on our official halls website. There is also a copy of the licence agreement which you signed when you accepted your offer of accommodation.

Duty RA

To make sure you have the BEST time whilst living in halls, your accommodation has its dedicated Warden's Team consisting of the Warden and five Resident Advisors.

Your first point of contact is your Duty Resident Advisor (Duty RA). They are on duty every weekday (Monday - Friday) from 6 pm until 8 am the following morning and all day (24 hours) at weekends and public holidays. They can get in touch with the Warden at all times during an emergency or where a situation requires escalation.

If you need to contact Duty RA, please talk to the reception - just pop in downstairs or give them a call, their number can be found on the Connaught Hall website right next to the location map.

If you need to talk to someone during the day, the Hall Management team is available during office hours.

Resident Advisors

The team supports the Warden and they are all students living in the hall so you should see them around. One of the team members will always be on duty (please see Duty RA section). The whole team goes through extensive training at the beginning of the academic year to make sure they can help you when you need it the most, for example, they are trained in First Aid as well as Mental Health First Aid. Please, come and talk to any member of the team whenever you feel like you need some extra support or if you just feel like having a bit of a chat - we're always here for you!

Your Connaught Hall warden is Adrian Clark

The Warden is a doctor trained in emergency medicine and works full-time as the University of London’s Student Health & Wellbeing Manager; he is available in hall on a part-time basis, usually in the evenings and at weekends. You can book an appointment to meet with the Warden at adrianclark.as.me. You have the choice of meeting online via Zoom, in person in the Warden's office, or in person taking a walk around one of the local garden squares in Bloomsbury.
