Five vegan snacks under £2.50 each at The Market

By ResLifeNeel 25 Aug 2023

Your friendly neighbourhood food explorer (that's me!) recently embarked on a daring quest to The Market, armed with a hearty appetite for adventure but on a budget. Brace yourselves for a rollercoaster ride of taste sensations as I introduce you to the fab five vegan snacks that rocked my taste buds – all for under £2.50 each! Let's dive in, shall we?

Eat Real Lentil Chips Chilli & Lemon (Gluten Free) - £1.99

Crunch factor: 8/10

Ever heard of a chip that's both lentilicious and lemony fresh? Me neither, until now! These zesty chips brought the perfect tangy twist to my snack game. The heat sneaks up on you like a mischievous squirrel – it's there and then it's gone, leaving you craving more. Crunchy, satisfying, and just the right kick of chili to make you reconsider that "spicy isn't my thing" attitude. A solid 8/10 for these legume legends!

Chip & Dip with Sriracha Houmous and Toasted Pretzels - £1.99

Dip-liciousness: 8/10

Who needs plain old chips and dip when you can have toasted pretzels and Sriracha houmous? This is snack innovation at its finest – crunchy, spicy, and oh-so-dippable. The pretzels are like little breadstick acrobats performing in a taste circus, and the houmous is the fiery ringmaster that steals the show. A savoury sensation that deserves a standing ovation and a solid 8/10!

Free From Fellows Cola Bottles (Sugar, Gluten and Gelatine Free) - £1.99

Sweetness overload: 9/10

Cola in candy form minus the sugar and gluten? This snack is basically magic. These chewy cola bottles whisked me away on a sugar-free nostalgia trip. They're so delightfully cola-esque that I almost expected them to fizz! A fantastic treat that lets you indulge your sweet tooth without the guilt. A sugar-free wonderland that gets a mouthwatering 9/10!

Oh So Scrummy Chocolate Chunk Cookie (Plant Based) - £2.39

Chewiness level: 7/10

If you're a cookie monster like me, you won't want to miss this plant-powered delight. Choc-a-block with chocolate chunks, this cookie does a merry dance between crunchy and chewy. It's like a cookie and a chocolate bar had a scrumptious lovechild. Just be prepared to share, because once you start munching, sharing might prove to be the ultimate challenge. A solid 7/10 for this cookie masterpiece!

iChoc Choco Cookie Bar (Dairy Free) - £0.99

Pocket-friendly indulgence: 9.5/10

Hold on to your taste buds, because this dairy-free dynamo is about to redefine your chocolate bar dreams! Crispy, crumbly, and with chocolate galore – it's a chocolate bar that whispers to your soul. The fact that it only costs 99p? Almost too good to be true. I'd give it a perfect 10, but let's leave a little room for cosmic cookie surprises. A stellar 9.5/10!

And there you have it, folks! A whirlwind tour of The Market's vegan snack wonderland, where £5 can lead you to quirky, tasty, and budget-friendly bites that are sure to keep both your taste buds and your wallet content. Until the next snack adventure, keep munching and crunching, my fellow food explorers!
