By bzellie 12 Sep 2019

Now it's starting to get colder, comfort foods are a must.

That's exactly why we have put together 5 delicious delights that you can make in a mug. So, quit slaving over the stove, because cooking in a mug is the next big thing. Now all you need to do now is pick up your favourite mug and get going!

  1. Crack an egg into your microwave safe mug - beat until even in colour and add milk.
  2. Heat in microwave for 90 seconds. It won't take long so keep checking on it.
  3. Once it is cooked, sprinkle salt and pepper over and make some toast.

  1. Put your pasta and water in a mug and microwave for 2 minutes.
  2. Stir and then pop back until all the water has been absorbed.
  3. Stir in the milk and grated cheese and microwave for a final 30-60 seconds. Stir well, and enjoy!

  1. Put all the ingredients in your mug (make sure it all fits), and whisk well until smooth.
  2. Microwave on full power for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Once cooked, add whipped cream and another spoonful of Nutella for extra tastiness!

  1. Microwave butter in your mug until it has melted.
  2. Add in the sugars, vanilla extract and salt and mix together.
  3. Mix in the egg yolk and the chocolate chips.
  4. Pop your mug in the microwave for 40-50 seconds and your chocolate chip cookie is complete. If you fancy, add in a dollop of ice cream too.

  1. Microwave butter in your mug until it has melted.
  2. Add in egg and milk and mix, then add the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  3. Add a tablespoon of salted caramel to the top of the mixture, this will sink as it cooks and leaves you with a gooey caramel centre.
  4. Microwave for another minute - the pudding should have risen at this point. If undercooked, microwave it again for just 10-15 seconds.
  5. Drizzle the top with the second tablespoon of salted caramel. Yum!

We can't think of much better snacks on a typical lazy day than these easy but delish delights for breakfast, lunch and dessert. Enjoy!
