Many well-known minds on the spectrum

The brain is a weird and wonderful organ and we are still yet to uncover all of its secrets. One thing we need to bring more awareness to though is the fact that brains can be really diverse - and that's okay! We all think in different ways and sometimes it can feel like our own way of thinking is a limitation or a unique case when in reality, it can be our greatest strength. Here are some notable celebs who managed to do the impossible while being on the spectrum:

  1. Billie Eilish - This highly popular Gen Z singer has been open about her Tourette's syndrome diagnosis.
  2. Emma Watson - The actress best known for playing Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter films was diagnosed with obsessive-compulsive disorder as a child.
  3. Justin Timberlake - This singer/actor has spoken about having OCD and ADHD.
  4. Simone Biles - Her athletic prowess and vulnerability in discussing having ADHD, anxiety, and trauma makes the Olympic gold medalist gymnast a role model.
  5. Kristen Bell - The acclaimed actress's honesty regarding depression and anxiety makes her a good advocate for neurodiversity and Mental health.
  6. Ryan Gosling - The popular actor shared his struggle with ADHD as a child and how acting helped give him an outlet.
  7. Solange Knowles - Beyoncé’s sister, also a singer/artist, has discussed her neurodiversity which includes being on the autism spectrum.
  8. Albert Einstein - One of the greatest minds to have ever lived had Asperger syndrome, a high-functioning disorder that likely birthed world-changing theories in physics and shaped his unique way of thinking.
