Cycling and bike hire at Scottish Borders Campus
The Scottish Borders is a mecca for cycling, the hilly terrain is ideal for any potential mountain biking enthusiasts amongst you!
Glentress, an award-winning bike trail that attracts cyclists from all over the world, is only a few miles from the campus, in Innerleithen. Don’t worry, if mountain biking is not for you, the scenic landscape in and around Galashiels, makes for plenty of enjoyable cycle routes, suitable for all levels of cycling ability.
There is a cycle path that connects you to the town centre, Interchange station, Tweedbank train station, the picturesque town of Melrose and beyond.
The Scottish Borders Campus offers a free bike hire service to all staff and students, with a range of electric, folding and hybrid bikes, there is something to suit everyone. The bikes are available for loan for up to 2 weeks (with the possibility to extend), depending on demand.
