How to be a good flatmate
At university, you will meet lots of different people and that's all part of the amazing experience!
By living in residences you'll be living with people you've never met before and you'll learn lots of new things - about yourself, and other people.
Following these top tips means that you'll be a pretty amazing flatmate and no one will ever have a reason to argue with you or be annoyed.
- Respect People's Stuff
- Make a Cleaning Rota
- Talk and Listen
- Keep an Open Mind
- Use the Support Available
- Have Fun!
TOP TIP: Unless told otherwise, NEVER help yourself to your flatmates' food, unless you want hell to break loose!
You're never going to like everyone, so if you're ever struggling in your flat or with your flatmates, you can always reach out to the Residential Life team, site staff or Student Support Services for advice.
