Can I pack my dog?!
*From the archives (2014)*
Hi! I'm Vanessa! I'm travelling all the way from Canada to study at the University of Glasgow!
I can't wait to move in, meet new people, travel around the UK, start my studies and immerse myself in Scottish culture- I've heard a lot about haggis!
Before all that I need to pack the next 4 months of my life into a case so I thought I'd talk you through a few of the things I'm taking with me:
- Hunter wellies (heard that's what people call them over here?!)
- Warm winter jacket and thick knit sweaters
- Blanket scarf
- Shoes - as many as will fit!
- Rolled up shirts and trousers to take up less space....
- Looks like the rest of my stuff will have to go in my hand luggage
- I am planning to get bigger stuff like kitchenware, duvet and sheets when I'm in Glasgow
Although I'm really excited, I will definitely miss my friends and family. And of course, my dog, Leo! Are you sure I can't bring him with me?
Packing this weekend? Here's a handy checklist of the things you will need to take.
