100 Years of UofGLiving!
Help us celebrate our centenary!
Session 2022/23 is going to be a very special one for Accommodation Services as it marks the 100 year anniversary of the opening of the University of Glasgow’s first ever hall of residence, Maclay Hall, in 1922.
To help celebrate the occasion, we are going to tell the story of Maclay Hall and the many other residences that came after, sharing photos and memories of the places and people that have made the halls such a big part of University life.
It’s not all about the residences either. We all know that the buildings wouldn’t be anything without the residents and staff that form the lifeblood of University accommodation so, if you’re one of the almost 150,000 students who have stayed or worked with us over the past 100 years, we would love to hear your memories and share your photos.
We’ll be posting content throughout the year so keep an eye on UofGLiving and our social media channels and join us as we look back through our history!
