Donate your duvet
Clean, green dreams
We all know how important sustainability is here at UWE Bristol. We always try to donate as much as we can and are constantly looking for new avenues to explore to be more eco-friendly.
Well, we found one. Duvet donations. 2024 is the first year we're trialling this, and, if it is a success, we'll roll it out year after year.
How can I donate my duvet?
If you don't want to keep your duvet (and they do take up a lot of room in suitcases!) then drop it off at one of the donation stations:
- Cotswold Court common room
- Wallscourt Park common room
We can accept single and double duvets and pillows that are in great condition. Items must be stain-free and with their fire safety label.
It will then be fully laundered so it's super clean and packaged up (in reusable packing, of course!) ready for its next owner.
Where will my duvet go?
Your duvet will then be added to the stock at the Sustainability Hub on Frenchay campus. From there, students can pay what they can (we're suggesting £3 per duvet) and take it to their new home.
This will save them money (up to £30 in some cases) and you'll be doing your bit to save the world.
