Winter warmer: Chicken Jalfrezi
These dark and cold evenings are not my favourite, but something that always does cheer me up is a delicious, hot home-cooked meal on an evening.
My personal favourite is chicken jalfrezi not only because it tastes so good but it's so easy to make! Check out the recipe and steps below...
Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts
- 1 jar of Sharwood's Jalfrezi sauce
- Basmati rice
- Seasonings: salt, paprika, cayenne powder
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
Steps
- Cut the chicken into small bite-sized cubes, and marinate it with your seasonings and a bit of oil overnight(or atleast for 3 hours)
- Wash your rice several times before cooking it in the rice cooker
- Finely chop an onion and 1 garlic clove
- Heat up a pan with some oil, and cook your chicken
- Once you notice the chicken is nearly done, add in your onion & garlic
- After your onions have cooked, add the jar of jalfrezi sauce and turn off the heat. Leave the pan on the stove for 3-5 minutes, letting the residual heat wrm up the sauce and mix everything together
- Plate your rice and chicken jalfrezi
Enjoy!
