Easter bakes: Almond Brownies
Easter is here and that means - delicious Easter treats!
Want a simple yet mouth-watering recipe that your flatmates or family will love? Check out my easy almond brownies below.
Don't like almonds? Swap them for mini eggs or marshmallows!
Ingredients:
- 200g dark chocolate
- 140g butter
- 225g caster sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 85g plain flour
Method:
- Heat the oven to 180 degree celcius
- Chop the chocolate and cut the butter into small cubes. Put them into the glass bowl and put in microwave for 30 seconds, take the bowl out, stir and put it back in the microwave again for another 30 seconds.
- Whisk in sugar until everything is combined
- Add eggs, yolk and vanilla extract into the chocolate mixture and whisk until smoothly combined
- Sift the flour and stir in with a spatula until evenly combined
- Pour the mixture into the baking container and bake in the oven for 25-35 minutes
- Using the knife to check in the middle of the brownies if it comes out with moist crumb and not wet batter
