Top 3 Activities To Do with your Flatmates
Living with flatmates can be exciting and memorable experience, and sharing a living space with other people can create a unique bond and opportunities while boosting your accommodation experience to a higher level. So if you're looking for activities to break the ice between you and your flatmates, don't look no more!
Here are top 3 activities to that you can do with your flatmates:
1- Cooking Together
Cooking together has many benefits, not only will it create a relationship with your flatmates but will also help you save money as you will share meals together. Cooking together is one of the best activities to do with the ones that you live with as it creates memories and breaks the ice by having a comforting and fun relaxing atmosphere. So try out themed dinners, a new recipe, take turns in being the chef and experiment!
Here is a recipe that you can try: - Chicken Alfredo pasta
Ingredients:
- 1tbs olive oil
- 4 chicken thighs
- 300g fettuccine, or tagliatelle
- 1 tbsp butter
- 200ml double cream
- ½ a nutmeg, grated
- 100g parmesan
- parsley, chopped, to serve
STEP 1
Heat the olive oil in a non-stick frying pan over a medium high heat. Add the chicken thighs and fry for around 10 mins, turning half way, until they are golden brown and cooked through. Set aside to cool a little, then use two forks to shred.
STEP 2Bring a pan of salted water to the boil and add the pasta, cook for 1 minute less that package instructions. Whilst the pasta is cooking, add the butter to the frying pan over a medium heat, scraping the bottom a little to get any of the browned bits. Tip in the cream along with the nutmeg and bring to a simmer. Add the chicken back to the pan.
STEP 3Once the pasta is cooked, use tongs to transfer the pasta straight from the water into the frying pan with the cream mixture. Sprinkle most of the parmesan over and use the tongs to toss it all together, adding a splash of the pasta water if it looks a little stiff. Season well, then tip into bowls. Top with the remaining parmesan, a scattering of parsley, and black pepper.
2- Movie Nights
Movie nights are a great way to relax and get to know your flatmates taste in movies and genre. The best way to do it is by doing it as by organising it as a weekly event, preferably in the weekends where you can relax and unwind together. Make marathon nights, or try out a different genre each week, or why not try watching movies in an alphabetical order? Well, there's no wrong choice in that, as whatever you choose it will contribute a great atmosphere and a bonding experience with your flat mates for sure!

- The Nun: A horror genre based movie with a incredible story plot is perfect if you want to experience as much as emotions as you can with you flatmates. If you guys are more of horror genre people, The Nun is the perfect movie to get scared and again bond with flatmates!
3- Explore your city
Take advantage of your shared living situation and explore your city or town. This will help you find out more about your city with your flatmates. Explore parks, restaurants, museums or any visitor attractions and make it as a habit to discover new places together.
Remember that open communication is a key to harmonious living situation. So make sure you create a good relationship with your flatmates as it will make your life living with them easier and will for sure create fun and memorable experience that will stay with you for life! So be more open and just try your best to have a good time with them.
