What are Industrial Placements?
I know it sounds daunting to hear about placement years and the application processes and watch everyone talk about it, but it's not as scary as it seems. Industrial placements are programmes intended for students to take some time and learn about a job or sector instead of studying. This helps gain immense knowledge of your chosen career path and skills that are invaluable.
How long are Industrial Placements?
It can honestly vary how long a placement can last. Some placements are short 2 weeks and some lasting upto 18 months. It depends on your field of study and your contract lengths.
Are Placements Paid?
Some placements are paid and others are purely voluntary. It depends on your field as to how much you can get paid.
