On first look London can seem like a very expensive place to live and the popular tourist attractions can come at a hefty price.
However, if you look closer there are many things to do that won’t cost you more than a few pennies and many are even free!
1. Visit a park
London is full of beautiful green spaces that are free to enjoy, such as Hyde Park or Richmond Park. There are also small pockets of green hidden in unexpected places, waiting to be found.
Getting some fresh air can help alleviate deadline stress and keep you feeling grounded during the frantic deadline months.
2. Saatchi gallery
London is famous for its art galleries and there are a lot of free ones that you have probably heard of or been to, but the Saatchi Gallery is relatively unknown to non-Londoners.
That being said, it showcases the work of some of the best up-and-coming artists and some that are internationally known.
3. Explore a market
You can spend many hours wandering around a market when you find the right one. Camden Market or Borough Market for example are full of food, fashion, antiques and many other well-priced delicacies.
4. Visit the Globe
The Globe on the South bank of the Thames is a replicate of the theatre which starred many works of the English playwriter, Shakespeare.
A round, open topped theatre with star studded casts and an atmosphere like no other theatre, it is something that every Londoner has to tick off their bucket list. When you book yard tickets (standing), they only cost 5£ each!
5. UAL Halls Life events
Halls Life holds lots of events that are either free or only cost a few pounds. This includes events in halls and events like theatre trips, day trips, themed events, etc. outside of halls.
