Meet our supplier: Wildfarmed
We're proud to work with one of the most innovative forces in the food industry as part of our food offering: Wildfarmed.
Wildfarmed is on a mission to fix food and fix the planet...and we want to help in every way we can.
What is Wildfarmed?
Wildfarmed is a business that farms differently with the aim of saving our soil through the power of regenerative flour.
Did you know that Wildfarmed co-founder - Andy Cato - even gave up his career as a Grammy nominated musician to become an award-winning mixed arable and livestock farmer? After becoming aware of the downfall of modern food production, he spent over a decade on a mission to find a more restorative and sustainable way of growing food.
Taking advantage of the potential of farming to store carbon, house diverse wildlife and provide nutritious food, soil health and plant diversity are at the heart of everything they do.
Working with farmers and bakers, Wildfarmed produces the highest quality, nutrient-dense wheat to create delicious products and deliver change at scale to help heal the planet.
How is this possible?
Prioritising soil health, all of their products are grown in a system without the use of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides to increase soil biodiversity. Working with over 40 growers across the UK and France, their pasture cropping method is being adapted and refined by the community to allow crops to be grown alongside perennial plants.
This is why Wildfarmed flour is made from a diverse range of wheat, providing products which have a depth of flavour and are full of nutrition. So you can rest assured that our bread is high-quality, nutritious and environmentally-conscious.
Head to our canteens to try our bloomers bread made with Wildfarmed grain, available with our amazing soups on offer!
Wildfarmed knows that real food is grown in real soil.
