Living with Dyslexia - Gina and Owen
Gina is a former UAL Social Rep and student at the London College of Communication. Owen worked in Accommodation Services for Halls Life. They both have dyslexia.
Dyslexia is a disability that affects 10% of the UK. In fact, there are is a higher number of dyslexic students than at UAL than at most universities.
In this video, Gina and Owen share their personal experience of dyslexia, from being diagnosed to how they overcame their difficulties to study and work.
Are you dyslexic and looking for help at UAL? If so, the university has a disability service, which offers a range of practical resources to help. They can also provide an assessment if you think you may be dyslexic and would like to be tested.
