First episode of Halls Life new podcast is live!
Our UAL Halls Life team is excited to announce we have launched our new monthly podcast, Queer Peers, talking about important LGBTQ+ topics.
We are so proud that you can now listen to the first episode of UAL Halls Life podcast Queer Peers, available to listen in your ears on Spotify! 🎧
The idea to create this podcast was born after many discussions and conducting forums with students about how we can better support our LGBTQ+ community here at UAL. 🤝
In our episodes, we will meet with UAL students and staff to showcase real life experiences of what it's like living as LGBTQ+ at university and in London. We will discuss many important and relevant topics about studying and living at UAL and where to find the support you may need during your studies.
We hope to answer of all your burning questions and create a safe space for you to listen and to discuss topics that are important to the LGBTQ+ community. 💟
Listen to our first episode now with Minnie (he/him), a postgrad student in Design for Social Innovation and Sustainable Futures, who generously shares his own experience of transitioning, while studying at UAL! 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
All views of the podcast are of that of the individual and may not be representative of everyone's experiences, we aim to support all students and want to improve all students experiences where we can, this is the reason for the podcast.
We look forward to bringing this podcast to your ears every month to share and celebrate different voices from within our LGBTQ+ community. 🗣️
If you are an LGBTQ+ student or ally at UAL and want to get involved with the podcast or have a story you wish to share that could support students and colleagues, please get in touch through our Queer Peers Interest Form. We can't wait to hear from you! ✍🏽

This podcast will promote freedom of speech but there will be no room for hate. We respect everyone’s journey is individual to them. This is about listening, understanding, and widening knowledge of the LGBTQ+ community and sensitive themes and topics centred around this in a safe setting. We want to create a space where everyone can live their authentic self at UAL without fear of judgement.
